What kind of paper do you print on?

Our house paper is a 100 lb Cover in Standard White.  It is durable and perfect for posters.  We work with specialty paper and materials on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for details.

What format should I submit files in?

We accept Adobe Photoshop files; Photoshop or PDF files are preferred.

Do I separate the color layers before I send in the document file?

We prefer to receive files already color-separated. Each must be separated into its own file and saved as a black-and-white pdf.  If you're finding the image is too complicated or you just don't want to deal with it, we can do separations for a fee of $50.00/hour.

How do you color match images?

There are three methods to color matching; Method #2 is the majority of what our artists and clients prefer.

Method #1
Use the Pantone Formula Guide (we use the latest PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE | COATED & UNCOATED edition) to indicate the specific colors you require.  Please specify if the color is from the coated or uncoated section.  If you do not indicate coated or uncoated, we will use coated color to match.  To ensure that the color is correct, check that your computer file and Pantone colors match.

Method #2
The DL trademark tried-and-true with lots o' happy artists and customers.  The color is matched straight from our monitor.  All you have to do is trust our eyes -- and our years of experience.

Method #3
Down and dirty:  you mix ink, swatch it, and send it to us.  This ensures dead-on color matching.

What shipping carriers do you use?

We carefully package each order and prepare it for shipping.  The carrier is subject to the clients' needs and preferences, considering delivery date, domestic or international shipping charges, and other variables.  We generally use FedEx Ground and Express and Pilot Freight shipping services.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Quickbooks Inuit and check payments in US dollar funds from a U.S. bank account.
